Dance Movement Therapy

Move, feel, and discover yourself through the transformative power of movement.

What is DMT?

Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) is a therapeutic approach in which clients and therapists engage creatively through body movement and dance to support the integration of emotional, cognitive, physical, and social aspects of self.

DMT can provide access to unconscious material, expand awareness, and deepen understanding of your inner world. It is not about performing or “dancing correctly”; it is about connecting with yourself and being supported in a safe, attuned space. DMT draws on the qualities of expressive arts therapies and somatic-based approaches, using creativity, embodiment, and movement as tools for insight and integration.

"The dance is a poem of which each movement is a word."
